How do I generate Lorem ipsum text?
To create placeholder text for layouts, prototypes or mock-ups, choose paragraphs, sentences or words, and enter an amount. The text updates as you change any setting. Click 'Regenerate' for new random text. By default, it starts with the classic Lorem ipsum opening and continues with pseudo-Latin text that resembles natural writing.

How does this tool work?

Does the text translate to real Latin?
Not exactly. It uses genuine Latin vocabulary but arranged in semi-random structures to create the illusion of meaning without forming coherent sentences. This preserves visual authenticity while avoiding readable phrases.
Can I customise the output?
Yes. Copy the text, or download it as a .txt or .html file. Turn on 'Output as HTML' to wrap the text in paragraph tags. You can also add headings, lists, links, and bold and italic text to test how your styles handle real page structure.
