How to convert videos
Choose the format you want, then drop your videos into the box above or click it to browse your files. The converter reads MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM and MKV files, and it writes MP4, WebM, MOV and MKV.
You can pick a quality level, scale the video down to 1080p, 720p or 480p, and remove the audio. When a conversion finishes you can preview the result, compare the file sizes and download it.
Do my videos get uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, so your videos never leave your device. There is no upload wait. Only the size and length of each video go to our server, so it can check them against the limits below.
What are the limits?
You can convert up to 10 videos a day for free, each up to 1 GB and 10 minutes long, at up to 1080p. Pro removes the daily limit and accepts videos up to 2 GB and 60 minutes long, with no resolution cap.
The size and length limits protect your device's memory, because the whole conversion happens on your device. The daily limit and the 1080p limit are part of what Pro adds. See the plans.
How does this tool work?
This tool uses Mediabunny and the WebCodecs feature of your browser. Your browser's own video encoders do the work, which is fast on most computers and phones.
Which formats you can create depends on your browser. The tool only shows the formats your browser can make. Long or high-resolution videos take longer on slower devices, and very large files can run out of memory.
