How do I shorten a link?

Paste your long URL into the box and hit 'Shorten'. You'll get a short link back straight away, ready to copy and share – no configuration needed unless you want it.

Can I customise my short links?

Yes. Once a link's created you can edit its slug (the part after the domain) to something memorable, generate a QR code for it, and track how many people click through, all from your dashboard.

Do short links expire?

Not unless you want them to. By default a short link keeps working indefinitely. From a link's "Link protection" action you can optionally give it an expiry date, after which it stops redirecting, or require a password before it does.

Can I create several short links at once?

Yes – use "Import from CSV" on your dashboard. Each line should have a URL, optionally followed by a comma and a custom code (e.g. https://example.com,my-code). A header row starting with "url" is skipped automatically, so you can export straight from a spreadsheet.

What can I use short links for?

  • Sharing long or messy URLs on social media
  • Printing tidy, memorable links on posters or business cards
  • Tracking how many people click through to a campaign
  • Generating a scannable QR code for a link

Is my link data private?

Your short links and their click data are tied to your account, so only you can see the full list and analytics for links you've created. Anyone who visits a short link is simply redirected to the destination URL.

Can I combine this with UTM parameters?

Yes – open a link's "UTM parameters" action to tag it with a source, medium and campaign (plus optional content/term). They're added to the destination URL automatically whenever someone visits the short link, so the short link itself stays the same. Prefer to build the tagged URL yourself first? The UTM URL builder still works for that too.
