How to convert HEIC to TIFF

Drop your HEIC files into the box at the top of the page, or click it to browse your files. The converter makes a copy of each one in TIFF format, and you can download them one by one or all at once. You can convert up to 30 images at a time, with a maximum file size of 8 MB each.

You can also resize your images and strip out metadata like EXIF data and GPS location while you convert. We store your images for an hour before we permanently delete them.

Converting HEIC to TIFF

HEIC is typically used for photos taken on an iPhone, where small files save phone storage, while TIFF is used for print work, scans and archives, where quality matters more than file size.

What changes when I convert HEIC to TIFF?

HEIC has already lost some detail to compression. Converting to TIFF keeps what is there but cannot bring that detail back, and the file is usually larger.

Your browser may not be able to show a preview of HEIC files, but they still convert as normal.

Understanding HEIC

HEIC is the format iPhones and many newer cameras use for photos. It keeps files small, but many websites, apps and older systems cannot open it.

Understanding TIFF

TIFF is a high-quality format used in print, scanning and photo archives. Files are large, and most browsers do not display them.

Once your images are converted, the colour converter can help you translate any hex, RGB or CMYK values you're working with into whichever format your design tools need next.
